After gating to another world, Colonel Sheppard, Teyla, Dr. McKay discover that Ronon has previously visited this planet. The villagers recognize him as the man responsible for bringing the Wraith to cull them. At the time, Ronon had a Wraith tracking device implanted in his back so the creatures could hunt him, and when they arrived they wiped out most of the village in the process. (That device has long since been removed)Nevertheless, Keturah and his people are not happy to see Ronan again. In a firefight, the team is shot with tranquilizer darts and McKay is hit in his buttocks with an arrow. Rodney manages to dial Atlantis for help. But the villagers imprison the rest of Sheppard's team. After Ronon's last visit, the Wraith left a communicator to call them should Ronon ever return. They do not hesitate to take the opportunity now. Keturah explains that in return the Wraith have promised to never cull his people again Teyla is incredulous that anyone would believe a Wraith promise.Ronon pleads with the villagers to release his friends. When he makes no headway, he threatens to commit suicide with a knife before the Wraith arrive, thus angering them further and making a culling a certainty. The rest of the team is released and returned to the Stargate. Once back at Atlantis, Sheppard re-arms to take another military team to get Ronon. In the space of half an hour, the Wraith have come to collect Ronon -- and completely massacre the village. The Wraith implant a new transmitter in Ronon. They release him back on Sateda, his own homeworld, to be hunted while a sadistic Wraith Commander watches from the ship.

Although Ronon knows the territory, the Wraith aren't looking for an even match. They deploy tracking drones and multiple hunters. Ronon lays various traps, eliminating the hunters, only to have even more replaced each round.Using the long-range sensors on Atlantis, Dr. McKay uses the device originally removed from Ronon to determine how to find him. Though there are seven such devices in operation in the Pegasus Galaxy at this time (possibly all of them runners), he finds a signal on the star map which points to Sateda. This must be Ronon.Knowing a Wraith hive ship is likely to be in orbit over Sateda, Colonel Caldwell agrees only to load a Puddle Jumper on the Daedalus so Sheppard's team can finish the last leg cloaked to rescue Ronon themselves.
Sheppard leaves McKay and Beckett inside the Jumper while he and Teyla search for Ronon, using a device that can track him. They find the wounded Ronon in the hospital where he last saw his wife -- and watched her die -- during the Wraith attack. While being hunted by his previous oppressors, he has flashbacks to the final moments before the Wraith obliterated his society. Sheppard finds him and orders him to return to the Jumper, but Ronon refuses. He will not leave until he has his revenge on the Wraith commander. Aboard the hive ship, the commander witness Sheppard's arrival on his view screen, and sends an entire squadron of Wraith hunters after the team. Fueled by Ronon's rage, Sheppard's group eliminates all the hunters in a vicious firefight. Ronon finds a relay device on a warrior's corpse and baits the commander to come down and fight him personally. Then he threatens Sheppard not to interfere, threatening to kill his ally afterwards for intervening. A dart transports the commander to the surface to fight Dex in hand-to-hand combat himself. He soon proves to be a match for Ronon, brutally pounding the Satedan.Sheppard and Teyla monitor the fight from a nearby roof. Despite the obvious fact that Ronon is losing, she cautions him against acting, as the hive ship is monitoring. Not knowing about this threat, McKay and Becket steer the Puddle Jumper into the fight pit and decloak a meter from the Wraith commander. Beckett fires a drone, plowing into the Wraith and careening him across the alley into a wall, destroying him. Immediately, the hive ship fires on the Jumper, but Ronon is pulled into the ship before the ship is struck.Apprehensive of Ronon's wrath at not being the one to kill the Wraith, McKay tells Ronon that it was all Beckett's idea to shoot. But Ronon grabs Beckett in a bear hug, thanking him. Beckett instructs that he must remove the tracking device as soon as possible, hoping that Ronon will now allow him to use a Sedative. But as before, Ronon collapses, unconscious.

STARGATE ATLANTIS SEASON THREE - ABOUT THE CAST ...

Lt Colonel John Sheppard

Major in the United States military and a highly skilled pilot with a checkered past, John Sheppard commands the flagship reconnaissance team from Earth's Atlantis base. He travelled to the Pegasus Galaxy with the Atlantis expedition under the command of Dr. Elizabeth Weir, and became the base's ranking military officer following the death of Colonel Marshall Sumner at the hands of the Wraith. He leads the base's flagship reconnaissance team in exploring other worlds through the Stargate.Sheppard was based at McMurdo Air Force Base -- possibly due to the black mark on his record -- and preferred the quiet of the Antarctic. He was assigned to fly General Jack O'Neill to the remains of the Ancient outpost to oversee the research team's latest developments. There he discovered that he possesses the rare gene that allows him to use Ancient technology -- and unlike most others who possess the gene, he is a natural at it. Weir emplored O'Neill to allow Sheppard to be a part of her team despite his record, tarnished for disobeying orders to save two teammates in Afghanistan.

Dr Elizabeth Weir

Commander of the Atlantis expedition to the Pegasus Galaxy. An expert in international politics, Dr. Weir is a civilian and a diplomat who is well known for mediating for the United Nations. When President Henry Hayes took office in 2004, he placed her in command of the S.G.C. after moving General George Hammond to a new position. After standing up to Vice President Kinsey and his agenda to take control of the Stargate program, Weir led a total review of the Stargate program over the following months.Upon the promotion of Jack O'Neill, Weir was transferred to the Ancient outpost of Atlantus, left behind in Antarctica when the city of Atlantis left the planet between five and 10 million years ago. When Daniel Jackson discovered the Stargate address for Atlantis, Weir led the pioneering team through the gate. Weir's work in diplomacy was referenced by Dr. Jackson when drafting the initial treaty for the Tok'ra-Earth alliance. She speaks five languages, including Russian and Latin (the latter of which is very similar to Ancient). PLAYED BY - Torri Higginson - Profile Picture Click Here

Dr Rodney Mckay

Arrogant and condescending by personality, McKay was insistent that the Stargate's crystal memory did not contain the remains of Teal'c, and pushed for the Stargate program to recommence immediately -- destroying any chance of rescuing the Jaffa.
McKay turned out to be wrong, and with aid from a Goa'uld Teal'c was recovered. After the incident, he was swiftly reassigned to Russia to advise their new naquadah reactor program. Carter was not sad to see him go. He returned less than a year later, when his services were required to solve yet another gate-related crisis at the S.G.C. McKay arrived to learn that the gate had been open long past its 38-minute limit; the Goa'uld Anubis was using a weapon to destroy the gate, and Earth along with it.With help from a somewhat hostile Major Carter -- whom he found both increasingly attractive and worthy of his respect -- they devised a plan to save Earth by sending the Stargate away from the planet through hyperspace PLAYED BY - David Hewlett -

Teyla Emmagan

Daughter of Tagan, and leader of the Athosians from the planet Athos. Teyla is cautious, and must get to know someone before trusting them. She found a special connection with Major John Sheppard upon meeting the humans of Earth for the very first time.Teyla and her people use the Stargate to visit many worlds in the Pegasus Galaxy, and she had never before encountered a culture that had not heard of the Wraith -- a terrifying enemy that has oppressed her people for generations, harvesting them to feed upon their life-force. Teyla is a strong and capable warrior, and a confident leader -- though she was reluctant to say goodbye to her people to remain in Atlantis with Sheppard's reconnaissance team. While returning with Sheppard from a hidden sanctuary where her ancestors once hid from the Wraith, Teyla herself was kidnapped in a culling beam and taken to the Wraith hive ship on the Wraith homeworld. She was later rescued by Sheppard and Lieutenant Aiden Ford.Teyla returned to Atlantis and met even more humans from the Tau'ri, eventually establishing a colony there for her people. She dedicated her services to helping seek out new allies for the humans now based in the Pegasus Galaxy, and her experience with other cultures makes her an ideal guide for the humans from Earth. Teyla also possesses an extra-sensory awareness of the Wraith when they are near. PLAYED BY - Rachel Luttrell - Profile Picture Click Here

Dr Beckett

Biologist and chief medical doctor at Earth's Atlantis base in the Pegasus Galaxy. Beckett was originally assigned as a representative from Scotland to the Ancient outpost in the Antarctic, where it was discovered that he possessed a rare gene from the Ancients that allows him to use their technology. In fact, it was Beckett who discovered the gene necessary to operate many Ancient devices.Despite the fact that Beckett himself is not especially technologically inclined, Dr. Rodney McKay forced him into the outpost's command chair in the hopes of learning something more about the technology. Beckett accidentally activated a dormant drone weapon, but was able to shut it back down before it harmed General O'Neill and Major Sheppard as they traveled toward the base in a helicopter. A member of the expedition under the command of Elizabeth Weir, Beckett traveled through the Stargate to Atlantis. One of his first duties was to dissect a severed Wraith arm that Sheppard brought back from Athos after the creature's Dart was shot down. PLAYED BY - Paul McGillion - Profile Picture Click Here

Ronon Dex

Once a military soldier on the planet Sateda, Specialist Ronon Dex became a runner when the Wraith took him from his home. Ronon defended his world during a devestating Wraith culling seven years ago, but was swept up in a culling beam. He was taken aboard a hive ship, but when a Wraith attempted to feed on him something forced it to stop. Instead of dying as food, Ronon was made a runner: The Wraith implanted a transmitter in his back and let him go, hunting him across many worlds for sport, for training, or for some other, unknown reason. Ronon possesses a gun with both stun and kill settings. A cunning and skilled warrior, he hunted his hunters, killing many Wraith. But he could never return home, nor could he stay in one place for too long. Once, when he stopped to eat a meal and get a night's sleep in a village, the Wraith showed up the next day and destroyed it. PLAYED BY - Jason Momoa - Profile Picture Click Here
